Akin is an Africa-focused impact investor and consultant. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of Splash Mobile Money, a mobile payments company in West Africa, where he helps craft the overall strategy of the company and monitors its execution against its goals.
Akin spent the first fifteen years of his career in management consulting and the corporate world. He engaged public sector clients at Booz Allen Hamilton and Accenture in Washington, D.C., and held strategic positions with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae over the years. Akin started his career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington, D.C., in the Technology and General Services Group.
Akin holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Union College, New York, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Dartmouth College. He is also an alumni of the World Bank Institute, and the ASPEN Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).

Daniel has over 10 years experience in the technology and financial services sectors. He is the Managing Director of Splash Mobile Technologies, which offers mobile payment solutions in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Ghana.
Before moving to Sierra Leone, Daniel was an investment banker with Barclays Capital in New York, where he worked on M&A, restructuring and large debt and equity transactions for power and energy sector clients.
Earlier in his career, Daniel gained extensive start-up experience during three years as an engineer with Nexant, a venture capital-backed firm that has grown to become a leading provider of energy technology solutions and advisory services in North America.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Union College, NY. and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
